Minka has been President of JMID since Jinx retired three years ago, having worked as a designer alongside Jinx for many years. She is a licensed interior designer and LEED AP with 20 years of residential design experience. Minka earned her master’s in interior design at Florida State University and spent a few years designing in Orange County, CA before moving back to Naples, where she grew up. Minka is always striving to create casually elegant environments, as she feels the combination of beauty and comfort is true luxury. She has been honored with Sand Dollar and Pinnacle awards for excellence in design, as well as the highly coveted Aurora award.
Beth is an award-winning designer with decades of experience in the design industry. Beth creates exquisite designs, whether new construction or complete renovations, and manages the construction process with confidence. She pays tremendous attention to all the details in a project, is very attentive to her clients and has excellent communication skills. Patient and kind, Beth creates spaces that are inviting, inspiring, and that always reflect her clients’ personalities. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Baylor University in Texas and has lived in Naples, Florida for over 20 years.
Janine Blume

Janine is extremely talented in design with a great eye for color and strong drafting skills. She is incredibly passionate about creating beautiful interiors and it shows in her unparalleled work ethic. Janine has an ability to find the perfect piece of art for every space, and her projects always feel bright and cheerful. She has earned numerous design awards and approaches each project with the same energy and enthusiasm. Janine earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Harrington College of Design in Chicago.
Barbara Schwenk
Interior Designer
Barbara is an invaluable asset to our team, having worked on some of the area’s most amazing award-winning homes and consistently delivering superb design. She is passionate about contemporary styling and developed a love of historic architecture while growing up in New England, so she can do everything in between. Barbara shines with her fabric selections, custom window treatments, and bedding ensembles. She is also very skilled on Sketchup and produces beautiful computer renderings to help clients visualize her designs. Barbara earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design at Southwest Florida College, and a second bachelor’s degree, in communications, from Lynn University.
Olivia Farone
Design Assistant
Olivia (Liv) earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from High Point University in North Carolina and is adept in a variety of different design software and computer drawing programs. She has a great eye and makes excellent fabric and furniture selections. Kind, determined, and ready to take on what’s next, Liv finds inspiration from living in beautiful Naples and is passionate about creating luxury interiors in the Southwest Florida region.
Tori Burns
Marketing Associate
Tori is our marketing, advertising, and social media specialist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in strategic communications from High Point University in North Carolina and has strong background knowledge of the furniture industry. Creative and passionate about interior design, Tori possesses a dynamic range of knowledge perfectly suited for our business. She helps develop many of JMID’s business initiatives both from Naples and working remotely in Los Angeles, CA.
Sarah (McDonald) Haacke
Office Manager
Sarah manages all business operations for the company. A retired lawyer, she brings a level head and sharp business sense to our creative team. Sarah earned her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University and her bachelor’s in political science from the University of South Florida. She is Jinx’s elder daughter and has been working in the family business for ten years. While filing taxes and doing payroll, Sarah also organizes fun events for our team to keep us energized, inspired, and growing together.
Diana Dooley
Financial Administrator
Diana has been JMID’s financial administrator for the last ten years. She has extensive experience on the financial side of the design business and handles our accounting very efficiently. Diana is extremely knowledgeable about Design Manager software and supports the design team in every way possible. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania before settling down in southwest Florida.
Jinx McDonald
Founder/Owner
Jinx is one of Naples’ most celebrated interior designers, respected for her outstanding creations and beloved for her warm and lively personality. Jinx started the company over 20 years ago and has designed for residents of the area’s most prestigious communities and worked with Florida’s top developers and custom home builders. She has won countless awards in southwest Florida and had a lot of fun completing projects throughout the U.S., Costa Rica, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Canada and Ireland. She retired at the end of 2019 and is proudly watching her legacy continue in the hands of her two daughters and her hand-picked team which she lovingly nurtured and trained for years. Originally from Jamaica, Jinx adds a festive flair to everything she does and taught her designers to keep the fun in their designs and remember that developing beautiful environments is a rare luxury and a pure joy.
